Optimizing the Participation of Students in IISMA 2023, International Office and Directorate of Academic Establishes IISMA CAMP

Hasanuddin University through Academic and Student Affairs in collaboration with the Office of International held a mentoring program entitled “IISMA CAMP 2023”. The activity was established at 09.30 CIT in the Unhas Hotel Ballroom, Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, on Thursday, March 02, 2023.

Starting the activity, the Head of the International Affairs Office Andi Masyitha Irwan, S.Kep., Ns., MAN., Ph.D., in his remarks explained that this activity generally aims to provide assistance to the students. Furthermore, she said this activity involved 142 participants from 39 study programs. She hoped that the students who took part in the IISMA CAMP 2023 program could qualify and take part in the MBKM program.

The activity was officially opened by the Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. drg. Muhammad Ruslin, M.Kes., Ph.D., Sp.BM(K). In his remarks, Prof. Ruslin said this activity was one of Unhas’ commitments to encourage students to get greater opportunities involved in the IISMA program which is part of MBKM. He said, through early preparation, the number of Unhas students who had successfully passed would increase.

After opening officially, it was continued with a presentation session from the speakers who generally provided an overview of the IISMA program and what preparations were needed. This activity is scheduled to last until Friday, March 3, 2023. The second day focused on a panel session where students were accompanied by 2021 and 2022 IISMA alumni. This assistance aims to open students’ insights in developing their essays which will later be sent to the IISMA Center to undergo national selection.
