Efforts to improve the alumni quality of the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) of Universitas Hasanuddin have continuously proceeded. In early 2021, four alumni of FKG of Universitas Hasanuddin continued their education in Japan and Taiwan. Those four students were drg. Dedy Ariwansa, drg. Nisrina Ekayani N, drg. On Tuesday (11/05), the Vice Dean for Student, Alumni and Partnership Affairs, Faculty of Dentistry Universitas Hasanuddin, drg. Dr. Eddy Heriyanto Habar, Sp.Ort (K) said programs for improving the alumni quality continue to be carried out every year. In the previous year, FKG had also sent two of their faculty staffs to take a Ph.D program at the Graduate Institute of Dental Sciences at China Medical University, Taiwan.
Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Hasanuddin, drg. Muhammad Ruslin, M.Kes., Ph.D., Sp.BM (K) also added that the program’s commitment is to continuously improve the quality of human resources, both alumni and lecturers in FKG Universitas Hasanuddin.
“This program is also a form of collaboration with four leading universities in Japan, Korea and Taiwan. The universities are Health Science Hokkaido University (Japan), Seoul National University (Korea) and Taipei Medical University (Taiwan), and China Medical University (Taiwan),” explained Dr. Ruslin.
Since April 23, 2021, FKG Universitas Hasanuddin has become the second-best Faculty of Dentistry in Indonesia and ranked 277 globally out of 694 universities according to the Scimago Institutions Ranking (SIR) by Subject Areas 2021 from the Institute of World Higher Education Ranking located in Spain. Along with these achievements, drg. Ruslin hopes that the collaboration with various well-recognized foreign partner campuses will improve FKG Universitas Hasanuddin both at the national and international levels.
