Hasanuddin University through the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) together with Kyoto University organized “The 8th Asia Research Node Symposium on Humanosphere Science”. The activity took place in the LPPM Hall, Unhas Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, Sunday (29/10).
The Research Node (ARN) exists to strengthen the function of an international collaborative research hub and foster talented scholars who expand the field of Humanosphere Science internationally. The ARN integrates various facilities and networks in the ASEAN region and Japan to consolidate international collaborative research on the “sustainable humanosphere.”.
Prof. Mamoru Yamamoto (Director of RISH Kyoto University) explained that in 2016, the Research Institute for Sustainable Humanosphere (RISH) launched a program called Humanosphere Asia Research Node (ARN) to strengthen the function of international collaborative research and simultaneously expand the field of humanosphere science internationally.
“This activity is also organized together with the 2nd ICESD. It is hoped that this activity will strengthen and expand international collaborative research networks in the Southeast Asia region. This ARN symposium will provide opportunities for mutual discussion in various scientific fields, especially those related to the sustainable humanosphere,” explained Prof. Mamoru.
After the opening, it moved to the presentation session by participants. The series of activities ran well until 16:00 WITA.
