PT GoTo Gojek organized anti-sexual violence training for driver-partners at Hasanuddin University. The activity, which is also a collaboration between Gojek and Unhas, was held at 14.30 Wita at the Science and Technology Building, Unhas Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, on Friday (October 13).
The Director of Student Affairs and Career Development at Unhas, Abdullah Sanusi, S.E., MBA, Ph.D, expressed his appreciation for the educational space presented by Gojek through anti-sexual violence training. He said Unhas also continues to provide education on anti-sexual violence through the Sexual Violence Prevention Task Force (PPKS).
“The education factor must be carried out on a sustainable basis. We are pleased with Gojek’s initiative to organize this activity with a focus on driver-partners around Tamalanrea who often interact with the Unhas academic community. We together provide an understanding of the importance of anti-sexual violence. Hopefully, we can continue to do this effectively,” explained Abdullah Sanusi.
The activity was officially opened by the Head of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Office of Makassar Government, Achi Soleman, S.STP., M.Si. In her remarks, Achi was delighted by the activities organized by Gojek in collaboration with Unhas. She provided an overview of the government’s efforts, especially the women’s empowerment and child protection office, to prevent sexual violence in Makassar City.
In general, this activity aims to provide comprehensive protection and knowledge to driver partners as well as a part of Gojek’s commitment to creating a safe public space for driver partners while operating and customers. This program is an effort to educate driver partners, who are pioneering agents in creating safe spaces for the public.
The entire series of activities went smoothly, with several materials presented by the speakers. The activity, which was attended by approximately 50 drivers, was scheduled to end at 16.00 Wita.
