Technical Description
Using this table unit, the relationship between load and reaction forces on a rigid, statically defined beam can be investigated experimentally. The unit consists of a rigid beam that can be placed in a section frame. The beam is loaded using a set of weights that can be positioned as required. A millimetre scale is fitted to the beam to enable the position of the load to be determined. Two spring balances are integrated into the unit for measuring the reaction forces. The different deflections of the bearings as a result of the extension of the spring balances can be compensated using adjustment bolts.
