Apparatus for Statics Experiments

Technical Description

The unit enables the fundamentals of statics, such as equilibrium, force resolution, the principles of levers, and similar issues to be clearly demonstrated. The base unit is a free-standing mounting board. All the parts necessary for the experiment can be quickly attached to the rails that are attached to the edge of the board. The printed 50-mm grid enables structures to be accurately assembled. The co-ordinates provided by the grid make the additional measurement of angles unnecessary. Two ball bearings facilitate low friction torque experiments. The dynamometers are of particularly large diameter for demonstration purposes. A special educational feature is the ability to write directly on the board using fibre-tip pens. The individual parts are supplied in a storage tray.
