Technical Description
The experimental set is used on the SE 110/SE 111 universal testing frames. It is used to qualitatively demonstrate the plastic deformation on portals under load. Portals of different geometry and made of different materials are included. They can be loaded vertically and horizontally. With the aid of a cross-member it is possible to compare specific transverse and longitudinal relationships. Load is applied using the sets of weights applied, these act on the portal via cords and guide rollers. The experimental set is of robust construction and of such a size that it can be used both for demonstrations and student experiments.
