Experimental Set Unsymmetrical Bending

Technical Description

Using this set as an accessory to the SE 110 Universal Testing Frame, experiments on pure, general and unsymmetrical bending can be performed. The challenging theory on beam bending can thus be usefully supplemented with experiments. The horizontal layout of the test bar results in a clearer experimental set-up. The deflection of the bar is observed from the front making the relationships between load plane, main axis and deflection or torsion clear to see. One test bar with an I-profile and one with an L-profile are included. Loading is performed using a set of weights. The unit is suitable for demonstrations and for experiments in small groups.
