Universitas Hasanuddin is directly involved with the accompanying of 3.000 traders of Sentral Makassar to obtain their rights, caused by the treatments of the business actors after the inflamed areas of the market. The traders represented by Andi Pangerang conveyed the suffering that they underwent along with the thousands of other traders. They hoped that Unhas is able to be the center actor towards the matters happening, so all can attain justice.

Universitas Hasanuddin bersepakat melakukan kerjasama dengan Pemerintah Provinsi Gorontalo di Gedung Pascasarjana Unhas, Jumat (17/6). Universitas Hasanuddin turun tangan mendampingi 3.000 pedagang Pasar Sentral Makassar untuk memperoleh haknya sebagai akibat perlakuan yang diterimanya dari pengusaha yang membangun pasar tersebut setelah terbakar. Teknologi nuklir tidak saja dapat digunakan untuk memproduksi mesin-mesin perang, seperti senjata nuklir, tetapi juga dapat dimanfaatkan untuk kepentingan pengobatan manusia. Melengkapi posisinya sebagai pusat kanker di Indonesia, Rumah Sakit Universitas Hasanuddin (RS Unhas) memperkenalkan alat ‘’Brachy Therapy (BT) buatan Jerman guna mengobati penyakit kanker dengan memanfaatkan radiasi nuklir. Radiasi itu diinjeksi ke dalam jaringan kanker dengan dosis yang disesuaikan dengan besar kankernya.
