Following the Indonesian Government Regulation No. 87, 2016 on Task Force to Eradicate Extortions (Saber Pungli) both in the central and regions, as well as the conduct of commitment towards a clean and corruption free area in Universitas Hasanuddin, Unhas Rector, Prof. Dr. Dwia Aries Tina Pulubuhu, M.A., Wednesday (14/12), issued a decree to all structural officials in the University. The issuance contained the order for all officials to prevent and follow up forms of extortions in their conduct of work, or in their provision of services, in Unhas.
The second clause of the order stated, “increase the control over the conduct of work or the provision of services in Unhas. Prohibit students from paying and bringing parcels in their phases of educational program completion, including Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral Program (examinations for proposal, and thesis).”
The Rector further issued to the officials to inform of the issued letter to all staff members in the working unit. Unhas will also place a banner in the main gate of Unhas with words of “You Are Entering a Corruption/ Extortion Free Area.”
“Adopt disciplinary sanctions for officials proven to have engaged on extortion conducts, through relevant regulations and coordination with the Internal Control Unit Institution,” is the last clause of the issuance.
University Secretary, Dr. Ir. Nasaruddin Salam, M.T. has been appointed as the head of the Saber Pungli/ Corruption team. Head of the Public Relations and Protocol Unhas, M. Dahlan Abubakar, explained, the formation of the team is the realization of the Government Regulation No. 87, 2016, on extortions and corruption. Head of the Planning and Information Systems Bureau (BAPSI) Drs. Ahmad, M.Si, has been appointed as the Secretary of the Saber Pungli/ Corruption team Unhas, assisted by the members that comprise of the Vice Rector II and Head of LSPI.
The issuance has been sent to the Vice Rectors, University Secretary, Faculty Deans, Dean of Graduate School, Heads of Institutions/ Directors/ Head Bureaus/ Head of Implementation Units, Head Departments, and Head of Study programs.
