Prof. Dr. Sangkala, M.Sc., a Professor of State Administration at Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas), was trusted as a member of the Independent National Bureaucratic Reform Team (Tim Independen Reformasi Birokrasi Nasional/TIRBN) of the Ministry of Empowerment of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform.
This team is based on Decree Number 1031 of 2021 about Amendments to the Decree of the Minister of Empowerment of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform Number 52 of 2020 concerning the Independent Team of National Bureaucratic Reform (TIRBN) from 2020 to 2024.
Through an interview on Wednesday (28/07), Prof. Sangkala explained that TIRBN’s role is to provide independent advice and input on implementing bureaucratic reform to the National Bureaucratic Reform Team and the National Bureaucratic Reform Steering Committee.
“Moreover, it also provides strategic and breakthrough advice and submits suggestion for ‘national quick wins’ in the implementation of bureaucratic reform,” explained Prof. Trumpet.
Furthermore, Prof. Sangkala said that he had been actively involved in various activities within the Ministries and Institutions, especially in the development of state administration. This involvement has been going on for about ten years.
He also showed his experience in state administration in his 9-year role as Deputy Chair of the Indonesian Association of State/Public Administration (IAPA).
“I am also actively involved in policy formulation at the Ministry of Empowerment of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform. From my various active contributions in improving the bureaucratic reform, they see that I can advise improving the bureaucratic reform system. The Independent Team of National Bureaucratic Reform consists of 8 members and is selected based on their track record so far,” added Prof. Trumpet.
Prof. Sangkala added that he could directly or indirectly help Unhas to organize its bureaucratic system. Unhas is one of the institutions that is annualy evaluated in various fields, such as the quality of implementing bureaucratic reform.
He hopes that Unhas can become a model university for the implementation of bureaucratic reform in the future.
