Universitas Hasanuddin received several reports of fraud practices conducted by irresponsible actors after the announcement of the Joint Selection of Higher Level Public Educational Enrollment (SBMPTN).
Vice Rector I Unhas Prof. Dr. Junaidi, M.Sc. explained, that there was a report filed to him by a parent of a newly admitted student of Unhas, claiming to pay an amount of cash or else the name will be eliminated.
“It was reported, a person called and stated that those that pass the selection will have their names excluded if they don’t pay,” stated Junaidi, Tuesday (12/7), during the meeting of International Class registration for the Faculty of Economics and Business and Faculty of Public Health, attended by Vice Rector IV Prof. dr. Budu, Sp.M., Ph.D., Director of International Partnership Iqbal Djawad, Ph.D., Director of Information Technology Dr. Eng. M. Nizwar, S.T., MIT., Head of Academic Bureau Ernawati Rivai, S.E., M.M., and several other members of the committee.
Head of Public Relations and Protocol Unhas M. Dahlan Abubakar strengthened that candidates that have passed will only need to pay the tuition fees (UKT) through the designated banks. There are no other forms of re-registrations to be enrolled in Unhas, being from the National Selection of Higher Level Public Educational Enrollment (SNMPTN) or Joint Selection of Higher Level Public Educational Enrollment (SBMPTN).
“All payments left are in the form of tuition fees,” stated Dahlan that wanted to make sure that all parents are aware and be careful of the misinformations spread.
