The student affairs and alumni filed of Hasanuddin University will implement the Rural Development Program as the embodiment of community service activities, in the sub-district of East Tanete Riattang, Bone District on 3 to 5 April 2016. The rural development program carrying theme: Dedication of Hasanuddin University, to realize the University Social Responsibility : Science, Charity, Chime in, Serve.
Vice Rector III of Hasanuddin University Dr.Ir. Abd Rashid J, M.Si in the Strategic Plan of Hasanuddin University 2016-2020 described, one of the strategic goals is to implement and disseminate science and technology for the benefit of Indonesian Maritime Continent. The goal, among others increased of Hasanuddin University role in the social responsibility of the university to resolve the strategic issues of national and international, with one of the indicators of achievement is how big a role of Hasanuddin University in mentoring activities and community empowerment. The Rural Development Program is one of the students programme to achieve the strategic objectives.
The series of the preparation of implementation for the rural development has been carried out. According to the chief executive of rural development Prof.Dr.Ir. Jasmal A Syamsu, M.Si, who is also vice dean III of the faculty of animal husbandry, rural development activities starting with a team meeting of Hasanuddin University with regent of Bone Dr.H.A. Fashar Padjalangi, M.Si, on march 16, 2016 at home office of the regent of Bone.
In this meeting, the vice rector III of Hasanuddin University submit a plan for the holding of rural development in Bone regency. Regent of Bone welcomed and expressed his willingness as the location of the implementation of rural development and this activity is a series of activities in order Anniversary of Bone to-686.
For further preparation, has held the technical meetings of the implementation of rural development activities, which was attended by the chief executive of rural development Prof.Dr.Ir. Jasmal A Syamsu, M.Si dated on march 21, 2016 at the office of the regent of Bone. In this meeting, the Secretary of the district of Bone H.A. Surya Darma, SE, M.Si chaired the meeting which was attended by Assistant I, Department of Fisheries, Department of Animal Husbandry, Department of Tourism, Department of Food Crops, Department of Health, UPTD Dentistry, Legal Section of Local Government Secretary, subdistrict head of East Tanete Riattang.
