The Young Entrepreneurship Lecture is a Ministry of Youth and Sports program that aims to build the mindset of youth and increase entrepreneurial interest to continue entrepreneurship, particularly among students, so that they are no longer job searchers but job creators.

In his speech, Abdullah Sanusi PhD explained that Unhas has a Student Entrepreneurship Program (PMW) which is routinely held every year with financial support from Unhas.

In addition, Unhas students are also actively participating in entrepreneurial development events organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture, as well as BUMN, which also routinely holds entrepreneurship events.

Currently, the development of entrepreneurial students focuses on quantity. Unhas has planned around IDR 1 billion in funds for entrepreneurship development. This is also part of the commitment to improve the Key Performance Indicators where the goal assigned by the ministry is a minimum of 10 percent for entrepreneurial students,” he explained.

Through this activity, Abdullah Sanusi hopes that Unhas students will be knowledgeable and motivated by the idea that entrepreneurship can be a career choice other than being an employee.

“Unhas is ready to collaborate with Kemenpora in developing entrepreneurship and becoming the solution to enhancing youth,” he said.

Meanwhile, Assistant Deputy for Youth Development of the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports Hendro Wicaksono said that the main role of the Ministry of Youth and Sports is to motivate entrepreneurship.

He also mentioned that Unhas is one of the three campuses that have agreed to cooperate with the Ministry of Youth and Sports. With this activity, he expects that more Unhas students will become entrepreneurs.
