MWA First Complete Meeting

The Board of Trustees (MWA) is included as one of the primary organs of Unhas as the result of the Autonomous Status (PTN BH) embraced, in aligning with the Government Decree of 2015. The two other institutions of PTN BH include the Academic Senate, and Rector.

Tuesday (26/7) MWA conducted their complete annual meeting. Three entire structures were present, including the Head of the MWA (Basri Hasanuddin), Vice Head of MWA (Asmawi Syam), and Secretary of the MWA (Andi Pangerang Moenta). Idrus A. Patturusi, the Auditing Commission, was also present at the meeting.

Basri Hasanuddin when opening the meeting taking place at the Rectorate Building Unhas stated, that the body he leads, until now is in the process finalizing three essential agendas, including Organization Governance (OTK), relations mechanism with other agencies of Unhas, and to establish an audit commission.

“We will hold a series of other meetings to complete the regulations,” stated the Head of the MWA Unhas Prof. Dr. Basri Hasanuddin, M.A. accompanied by the Vice Head of MWA Asmawi Syam and Secretary of MWA Prof. Dr. Andi Pangerang Moenta, S.H., M.H. during the MWA meeting taking place in Unhas Campus, Tuesday (26/7).

Other members of the Board of Trustees that attended the meeting includes, Prof. Dr. dr. Idrus A. Paturusi, Prof. Drg. Mansyur Natsir, Ph.D., Prof. Dr. Ir. Anshar Suyuti, Prof. Dr. Natsir Djide, Drs. Mukmin, M.Si.Ak, Drs. Ahmad, M.Si., along with the Head of the Unhas Academic Senate Prof. Dr. Tahir Kasnawi, S.U.

In the upcoming future, what needs to be the focus of discussions for the Board of Trustees stated Basri Hasanuddin, are internal issues and Unhas assets that are conducted in a working meeting. The other agendas include the UI and UGM visits, the two higher education institutions that have earlier adopted the Autonomous Status in their institutions, as a form of comparison.

Vice Head of MWA Unhas Asmawi Syam strengthened the essence to make an inventory of Unhas assets to generate income firstly. Whether there are natural resources that can be utilized by investors. Second, the presence of human resources that is skill resources based, that would, later on, bring proudness to the Unhas flag.

 “As of now, the Unhas flag is glorious in Eastern Indonesia. We can further enter into the capital resources based on purchasing obligations,” stated Asmawi Syam that also happens to be the President Director of BRI. (*)
