The Faculty of Animal Husbandry students who are members of the Animal Husbandry Student Association (Himaprotek) and other student organizations within the Faculty of Animal Husbandry held a caring action by distributing aid packages consisting of one chicken and two packs of chicken nuggets to Makassar residents who need it.
Ir. Daryatmo, S.Pt., M.P., IPM, as a supervisor lecturer explained that this activity was a series of the volunteer activities of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry students who previously carried out environmental disinfection activities on campus and community housing.
"After more and more people carrying out disinfection activities, the volunteer team took the initiative to establish social entrepreneurial activities facilitated by the Teaching Farm of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Universitas Hasanuddin. These volunteers deliver the livestock products such as chicken, nuggets, and meatballs directly to the resident’s house," explained Daryatmo.
The results of social entrepreneurial activities will then be donated to the people who really need it.
"They decided to work with their enthusiasm and energy by selling livestock products for 10 days. The profits then were used to buy packages of aid that will be distributed to residents in need” added Daryatmo.
Each aid package consisting of one chicken and chicken nuggets is distributed directly by students to people who need it so that it is right on target.
"We as supervisors want to develop the spirit of social entrepreneurship for students during this difficult time. They voluntarily participate in this activity and we always remind to concern personal health. We hope that student initiative activities can at least ease the burden of the community during this plague" closed Daryatmo. (* / mir)
