The chocolate produced by the Teaching Industry Universitas Hasanddin will later on “inflame” the event of National Sports Week (PON) XIX, West Java, taking place between 17-29 September 2016.
“There will be three events in which Unhas partners offered to sponsor, including the National Sports Week Report (Porwanas, currently taking place), PON XIX, and Paralympic Games in Jakarta,” stated the Director of Teaching Industry Unhas Prof. Dr. Salengke after being met in his office, Thursday (28/7).
He further said that the partnering institutions had observed the Unhas chocolate productions, as the productions have been maintained in a steady pace. The quality based on the opinions of the consumers is getting better.
“These last several months, Unhas has maintained partnerships with an Indonesian businessman that is now a Canadian national, Madam Lina, for overseas trades to Canada and the Middle East,” stated Salengke.
April 2016, Unhas was called upon to take part in a three-day exhibition located in Montreal, Canada, and revealed that many were interested in the productions. During that time, there were many questions and demands currently being processed for further trading in the market.
Specifically for the three events (Porwanas, PON XIX, and Paralympic Games), Unhas partners asked to prepare the chocolates to be introduced, and also sold during the events.
“In a couple of days, Lina will visit Unhas as she is in Jakarta. She just came from Canada two days ago. Now, Madam Lina is processing the partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and KONI West Java for marketing purposes. They have designed the product packaging to include both Unhas and its partners that comprise of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and KONI West Java,” stated Salengke.
For the three events, Unhas is demanded to prepare approximately 5.000 packages. But Unhas proposed to provide the stocks requested progressively. First, they would develop 1.000 for Porwanas and would be added for PON and Paralympics. As of now, the prepared figures are 5.000, but Unhas needs to see the response of the market beforehand for the events that are about to take place. (*)
