UNHAS Hosts 2026 KNB Scholarship Progress Monitoring Visit from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology

Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) welcomed a visit from the Institutional Strengthening Working Group Team of the Directorate of Institutional Affairs, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, as part of the 2026 Developing Countries Partnership Scholarship (KNB) Program Monitoring conducted on 11–12 May 2026 at the Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar. The activity aimed to evaluate the implementation, services, and governance of the KNB Scholarship Program at UNHAS.

The Institutional Strengthening Working Group Team consisted of Agustinus Hadi Nugroho, Armaeni, Risma Sari, and Udin. During the monitoring sessions, the team conducted discussions and evaluations with various KNB scholarship management units at UNHAS. Representatives from the Indonesian Language Program for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) included the Head of the Language Service Unit of UNHAS, Dr. Sitti Sahraeny, the newly appointed Secretary of the Unit, Andi Wardatul Wahidah Lufini, M.A., and one of the BIPA instructors, Dr. Inriati Lewa. Their participation contributed significantly to discussions regarding Indonesian language learning and academic support for international students under the KNB Scholarship Program.

The monitoring activity also involved the International Office of UNHAS, represented by the Head of Division, Dra. Harniati, along with several International Office staff members. In addition, the Head of the Academic Administration Subdirectorate, Susy Asteria Irafany, M.Si., and staff members, as well as the Head of the Student Welfare Subdirectorate, Catharina, M.M., were also present. Discussions covered various aspects of international student management, including academic services, administrative processes, scholarship reporting, student supervision, and welfare support for KNB scholarship recipients.

As part of the activity, a question-and-answer session was also held with KNB scholarship students at UNHAS. During the session, students shared updates regarding their academic progress, study experiences, and several suggestions related to scholarship services and university support systems. Through this monitoring activity, UNHAS reaffirmed its commitment to continuously improving the quality of the KNB Scholarship Program management, strengthening support services for international students, and advancing the university’s internationalisation efforts at the global level.
