Faculty of Dentistry held Guest Lecture which invited a speaker from Amsterdam, Netherland. The event which emerged the theme “Introducing Research Activity In VU Medical Center Amsterdam and Research Collaboration Opportunity" was held on Monday (26/08) at 10.00 WITA in Center of Microfinance BRI Unhas, Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar.
The event invited Dr. Marco N.Helder (Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, Pathology, Amsterdam, Netherland), Prof. Tymour Forouzanfar, MD., DDS., Ph.D. (Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, Pathology, Amsterdam, Netherland). Also 5 young inventors attended this event, Diandra Sabrina Natsir Kalla (Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, Netherland), Faqi Nurdiansyah Hendra (Medical Center of Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, Netherland), Rifaat Nurrahma (Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, Netherland), Hasanuddin (Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, Netherland), and Andi St. Hajrah Yusuf (Taipei Medical University, Taiwan).
The event opened by the Dean of Dentistry Faculty, Muhammad Rusli, M.Kes., Ph.D., SP. BM(K). in his opening remark, he hoped that this event can give new knowledge related to research results in the medical field.
“I hope this event can result in something which can enrich our insight and surely motivate us to establish research in the field of Dentistry,” said drg. Rusli.
drg. Acing Habibie, Ph.D. as the head of Committee explained that this event is an effort to develop international research collaboration. Besides, the Guest Lecture was supported by Faculty of Dentistry as a contribution to reach World Class University (WCU).
Selain itu, Guest Lecture yang menghadirkan beberapa pembicara asal Amsterdam, Belanda merupakan bentuk dukungan Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Unhas untuk mendukung Unhas menuju World Class University (WCU).
“Today, we establish Guest Lecture as a sharing forum related to researches conducted by FKG Unhas Collaborators abroad. Our collaboration has been running from Japan, Taiwan, and now VU Amsterdam. We certainly want to conduct international-based research collaboration, as a support to reach WCU. The Guest Lecture is not only for Dentistry but also for other multidisciplinary studies. Therefore, there will be many related medical professions,” said Drg Acing.
The event was attended by approximately 80 participants from different universities in Makassar. (*)
