In order to enliven the Ramadhan 1441 Hijriah and to support the #dirumahsaja (Stay-at-Home) regulation, the Student Affairs and Alumni of Universitas Hasanuddin will hold a Virtual MusabaqahTilawatil Quran/ MTQ (Competition of Qur’an Recitation), planned to take place on May11th-15th2020.
MTQ is an annual activity of the Student Affairs of Unhas which is held every Ramadhan holy month. However, this year will be a little different. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, MTQ will be held virtually or using internet software.
Vice-rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, Prof. Dr.drg. A. Arsunan Arsin, M.Kes, revealed the program plan in an interview on Thursday (30/04). During this Corona Virus Pandemic, all student activities are conducted virtually, including MTQ Program. By utilizing technology, MTQ is possible to be conducted and broadcasted from home.
"We designed this Virtual MTQ in such a way that we can support the Stay-at-Home regulation. All stages of the activities, from registration to the implementation of the competition, are all done without physical interaction," said Prof. Arsunan.
This Virtual MTQ opens the opportunity for all active students with four branches of competition, namely Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (TQ), Musabaqah Syarhil Quran (SQ), Musabaqah Hifdzil Quran (HQ), and Essay Contest.
For the TQ and SQ competitions, participants will send a video which will then be judged by the jury. As for the Hifdzil Quran, the competition will be held with the Zoom application.
As the appreciation to the winners, they will be awarded with certificates of winner and prizes of millions of rupiah.
“Even though it is established virtually, we hope that students will participate enthusiastically in this event” said Prof. Arsunan.
