The Faculty of Dentistry, Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) successfully hosted an international guest lecture featuring Dr. Elizabeth Fitriana Sari, Associate Professor of Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology at the College of Dentistry, Ajman University, United Arab Emirates, and Adjunct Associate Professor at La Trobe University, Australia. The session took place on Thursday,13 August 2026, at 1:00 p.m. WITA in the Master’s Lecture Room at the Faculty of Dentistry, UNHAS. Specifically tailored for students enrolled in Residency, Master’s, and Doctoral programs, the lecture focused on “How to Do a Systematic Review”—a crucial subject for postgraduate scholars developing research competencies and preparing high-impact scientific publications.
During the lecture, Dr. Elizabeth introduced the fundamental principles and practical methodologies required to conduct systematic reviews, which synthesize scientific evidence to support evidence-based clinical practice and oral health research. As an experienced academic, she shared critical perspectives and practical insights that will guide postgraduate students through their ongoing and future research projects. Bringing an international scholar from UAE and Australia provided UNHAS postgraduate students with direct exposure to global standards in dental research and methodology.
The event highlights the continuous effort of the Faculty of Dentistry, UNHAS, to expand its international academic network and foster research collaboration. Guest lectures featuring global scholars serve as vital platforms for knowledge exchange, nurturing a globally oriented academic ecosystem and empowering postgraduate students to produce rigorous, evidence-based research.
