Hasanuddin University and PAIR Hold a Workshop on Preparation for Research Consortium

Strengthening Academic Partnerships Through PAIR Initiative

Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) and the Australia-Indonesia Centre (AIC) successfully conducted a two-day workshop for the Partnership for Australia-Indonesia Research (PAIR) Research Consortium on January 30-31, 2023. The event was held at Hall B of UNHAS’ Institute for Quality Assurance and Education Development (LMPPP).

Key Participants in the PAIR Workshop

The workshop gathered prominent figures including:

  • Prof. Dr. Eng. Adi Maulana (Vice-Rector for Partnership, Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Business)

  • Prof. dr. M. Nasrum Massi (Head of Research and Community Service Institute)

  • Dr. Ansariadi (Director of Partnership)

  • Dr. Andi Masyitha Irwan (Head of International Office)

  • AIC representatives: Dr. Eugene Sebastian, Dr. Hasnawati, and Dr. Budiati

Objectives of the PAIR Research Consortium Workshop

Developing Collaborative Research Frameworks

The workshop focused on three key agendas:

  1. Introduction to PAIR Sulawesi program

  2. Preparation strategies for the research consortium

  3. Management structure for UNHAS-AIC PAIR Lab

This event marked a continuation of the PAIR Lab initiative launched in late 2022, aiming to enhance research collaboration between academia, policymakers, and industries with special focus on South Sulawesi’s development needs.

Building Sustainable Research Networks

The PAIR Research Consortium serves as a platform to:

  • Foster interdisciplinary research collaboration

  • Bridge academic research with practical policy implementation

  • Strengthen international research partnerships between Australia and Indonesia

The initiative reflects UNHAS’ commitment to advancing research excellence through strategic international partnerships while addressing regional development challenges. (/AIH)
