About the Program

The Master of Nursing Program at the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) opens the door to a successful career in the nursing field. By focusing on forming a graduate profile that includes Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Managers, Nurse Educators, Nurse Researchers and Nurse Scientists, The Master of Nursing Program UNHAS ensures that its graduates are ready to face challenges in the professional world.

Strengths

  • National Accreditation, the Indonesian Higher Education Independent Accreditation Institute (LAM-PTKes), Very Good since December 28 2019
  • International Accreditation Process, Akkreditierungsagentur für Studiengänge der Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informatik, der Naturwissenschaften und der Mathematik (ASIIN), planned visitation 26 February 2024.
  • Various scholarship schemes are open, such as the Ministry of Health scholarship. Local Government, Foundation, etc.

Areas of Specialization

Supported by a quality curriculum, at the Master of Nursing Program offers two concentrations that can be chosen according to individual interests and

aspirations, namely Medical Surgical Nurse and Nurse Manager. This gives students the flexibility to develop specific skills according to job market needs.

Learning Process

  • The lecture process involves UNHAS lecturers, as well as external lecturers at home and abroad who are competent in their fields.
  • The thesis process is oriented towards scientific deepening and solving nursing problems and is oriented towards reputable international articles.
  • Periodically, at the Master of Nursing Program Unhas also holds guest lectures, inviting experts from abroad.

Career Prospects

Graduates of the Master of Nursing Science Program have very broad and varied career opportunities, not only limited to the government sector, but also in the private sector and even have the potential to become independent entrepreneurs.
They can explore various opportunities in the field of medical surgical nursing or nursing management according to their expertise.

A number of The Master of Nursing Program alumni have successfully pursued careers as clinical nurses, nurse managers in various government institutions, including the Indonesian National Military; abbreviated as TNI and 'The State Police of the Republic of Indonesia', abbreviated as POLRI, as well as nurse educators in various educational institutions, both state and private. Some have also opened independent practices or clinics, demonstrating their success in applying the knowledge and skills they acquired during their studies at the Master of Nursing Program.
