About the Program

The Undergraduate and Professional Physiotherapy Study Program is one of the study programs at the Faculty of Nursing, Unhas which focuses on producing professional Physiotherapist graduates who are directed at applying Physiotherapy skills to help individuals or groups improve or restore motor function.

Strengths

  • “Excellent” accreditation valid from 14 April 2023 from the Indonesian Higher Education Independent Accreditation Institute (LAM-PTKes).
  • In 2008, the Hasanuddin University Physiotherapy Study Program was officially established and became the first Bachelor (S1) in the field of Physiotherapy in Indonesia.

Learning Process

  • Lecture learning is carried out directly in class, as well as field practice and laboratory practice.
  • Various active learning methods are used to accommodate different learning needs, and no course relies on just one teaching method. Some examples of learning methods used include: seminars, case studies, role playing, small group discussions and field practice.
  • The final assignment is in the form of research that produces a thesis for a particular field of study according to your interests.

Career Prospects

Graduates of the Undergraduate Study Program and the Physiotherapy Profession are absorbed in various health service agencies (Hospitals, Community Health Centers, Clinics), Physiotherapy educational institutions and government and private public service offices where Physiotherapists act as Physiotherapy service providers, communicators, health educators, researchers and leaders or managers
