Today, Thursday (28/4) is the first day of Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc as Chancellor of Unhas for the period 2022-2026. On this first day, the professor of marine affairs who is familiarly called Prof. This JJ carried out a number of activities, including receiving guests, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), and holding the inaugural Coordination Meeting with all faculty and work unit leaders.
In the first activity at 08.45 WITA, Prof. JJ received a number of guests, both internal and external. The internal guest was the Integrity Zone development team from the Faculty of Cultural Sciences Unhas, which was directly led by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Akin Duli, MS. This meeting discussed Unhas’ readiness to face the Integrity Zone assessment to create a Corruption Free Area (WBK) and a Clean Serving Bureaucratic Area (WBBM).
Furthermore, starting at 09.30 WITA Prof. JJ received a number of external guests and signed MOUs with a number of partners in succession. The partners who are collaborating with Unhas today are:

All of these collaborations are related to the development of the tri dharma of higher education, human resource development, and academic cooperation. Prof. Jamaluddin said that he started the first day of work by signing various MOUs, as a form of commitment to continue to serve and give the best contribution.
Furthermore, starting at 13.00 WITA, Prof. JJ led a Coordination Meeting with all leaders of faculties and institutions within the scope of Unhas. This working meeting discussed several important agendas, including the signing of Performance Indicators between the Chancellor and the heads of faculties and work units, and a discussion of urgent activities that will be the focus in the coming months.
“The Coordination Meeting is a tradition that we continue from Prof Dwia, the previous rector. I see this is a good formula, not only for the dean but also for the deputy deans we present. So that someone can help the dean implement what was discussed at the Coordination Meeting,” said Prof JJ.
After the Coordination Meeting, Prof. JJ and all university leaders attended the re-admission of Prof. Dr. Dwia Aries Tina Pulubuhu, MA (Rector for the Period 2014-2018 and 2018-2022) within the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Unhas. As a lecturer at the Sociology Study Program, FISIP Unhas, Prof. Dwia will continue to carry out his activities as a lecturer.
