Technical Description
In conjunction with the two universal test frames SE 110/SE 111, this set enables experiments to be performed on bending beams on two bearings under a point load. The deflection can be measured as a function of the beam geometry, beam material and load. The experiment can also be used to check the reciprocity theory, the principle of superposition, and to determine the modulus of elasticity. For this purpose, three steel beams of varying cross-section, and a brass and an aluminium beam are included with the set. The beam is loaded using sets of weights. Two position measurement gauges are used to measure the deformation.
