The MoU between the Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Studies at Hasanuddin University and the Faculty of Vocational Studies at Universitas Brawijaya (UB) has decided to collaborate on the development of the higher education tridharma. (MoU) between the Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Studies at Unhas (Prof. Dr. Ir. Muh. Restu, MP) and the Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Studies at Universitas Brawijaya (Prof. Dr. Unti Ludigdo, SE., M.Sc.,Ak).
The MoU was signed in the presence of the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Studies Unhas (Dr. Ida Leida Maria, SKM, MKM, MScPH) and the Dean of the UB Vocational Faculty (Dr. Ulfa Andayani, S.Si, M.Si) on Monday, October 3, 2013 at 13.30 WITA offline in the Meeting Room of the Unhas Vocational Faculty, Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ir. Moh. Restu, MP., dean of the Unhas Vocational Faculty, stated that, as newly founded faculties, the Faculty of Vocational Studies Unhas and the Faculty of Vocational Studies UB must work to provide mutual assistance in order to produce excellent human resources. This is directly related to the process of preparing undergraduate or graduate candidates who are in high demand and ready to meet a variety of regional economic development needs, like trying to improve the quality of development and the level of community welfare.
Prof. Approval said, “To put this new organization into place, the Unhas Vocational Faculty team worked together with partners in the area and vocational higher education institutions to make the most of their efforts on the Unhas campus and beyond.”
Moreover, according to Prof. Restu, the history of the development of the Vocational Faculty of Unhas began with the faculty’s vocational study program and evolved progressively with the founding concept of vocational-based cooperation with local governments in promoting the local area’s potential. In line with the area’s potential, this collaboration provides facilities and infrastructure to help students learn through direct field practice. This is one of the things that makes the Vocational Faculty of Hasanuddin University’s Agriculture and Livestock sector stand out.
At the same time, Prof. Dr. Unti Ludigdo, SE., M.Si., Ak., Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Studies at Universitas Brawijaya, discussed the evolution of UB’s Vocational Faculty at the same time. He said that the talks and cooperation with Unhas would be good for both sides because they would share information and knowledge. It would also be great for making vocational study programs, like the idea of putting Unhas Multicampus into action.
Prof. Unti also thanked Unhas for being willing to work together. It is hoped that this will help the tridharma of higher education program at the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) grow.
Plans for collaboration between the Vocational Faculty of Unhas and the Vocational Faculty of UB include academic exchanges, student exchanges, joint research and publications, as well as the planning and carrying out of academic events or community service.
