Director of Institut Français Indonesia (IFI Surabaya), Sandra Vivier, paid Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas) visit to discuss the implementation of international student exchange program collaboration. The meeting took place in Meeting Room B, 4th Floor of the Unhas Rectorate Building on Friday (24/6).
On this occasion, the Director of Partnership of Unhas, Dr. Mahatma Lanuru, M.Sc., welcomed the Director of IFI Surabaya and said that Unhas has been excellently cooperating with IFI through several strategic programs.
“This meeting is a form of commitment between Unhas and IFI in establishing cooperation, so it is hoped that this student exchange program can provide the best educational facilities and experiences to students according to the chosen scientific field,” explained Dr. Mahatma.
IFI Surabaya Director, Sandra Vivier, said that she would provide recommendations on the best universities in France that are suitable for the programs offered by Unhas, such as student exchanges for summer courses programs.
On the same occasion, the Director of Unhas Education, Dr. Ida Leida, SKM, MS, said that Unhas has 12 international classes in which students are required to take part in the international exposure program. Thus the extension of cooperation with universities is essential to provide choices for students.
“The next plan we will send a list of study programs to make adjustments to the recommendations of the universities to be addressed with the scientific fields of students. So this meeting is expected to produce discussions related to the pattern of cooperation that can be done,” explained Dr. Ida.
Head of the International Affairs Office (KUI) Karmila Mokoginta, S.S., M.A., also expressed her hope that the cooperation program can be implemented in accordance with the common goals of both parties. He considered that this collaboration was very likely to collaborate with Unhas which was in line with the presence of the International class program.
“This program is certainly significant to encourage more students to take part in exchange programs with universities overseas. We hope that the cooperation that will be carried out and the results of today’s discussion can be further communicated properly. We are optimistic that it can be actualized in the near future,” explained Karmila.
