About the Program
The Fisheries Science Doctoral Program is designed to cultivate doctoral graduates with a profound understanding of sustainable fisheries science, aiming to advance the fisheries sector in Indonesia and benefit society at large. This program emphasizes research and the application of sustainable fisheries science, contributing to technological advancements and industrial applications.
Strengths
Accredited as "Very Good," our program meets the requirements for various scholarships, including LPDP, BPI, PMDSU, and others supported by international partners, providing financial support for students pursuing their doctoral studies.
Areas of Specialization
The specialization areas in the program include Aquatic Resource Management, Aquaculture, Fishery Resource Utilization, Fishery Agribusiness, and Fishery Product Technology. These areas of focus provide students with a comprehensive understanding of key aspects of fisheries science.
Learning Process
The program offers two class options: full course and by-research. Formal learning lasts for one semester, after which students engage in research for the remainder of the program.
The final project entails conducting research that leads to a dissertation, scientific work, and an international publication indexed in Scopus, showcasing the depth and breadth of the student's research contributions.
Career Prospects
Our graduates are highly pursuing careers in academia, research, and supervisory roles in the fisheries sector. Some also become practitioners or consultants in fisheries and environmental fields, contributing their expertise to various organizations.
