About the Program
The Extraction Metallurgical Technology Study Program is one of the programs offered at the Vocational Faculty of Hasanuddin University (Unhas). This program focuses on studying the process of extracting metal from its ore to produce pure metal, achieved by separating metal components from natural materials such as mineral ore or other metal sources.

Areas of Specialization
The Extraction Metallurgical Technology Study Program specialization is divided into two, namely pyrometallurgy and hydrometallurgy.
Learning Process
Learning is carried out directly in the classroom, with learning focused on practicum to improve student skills. Lectures can also be carried out in private institutions that collaborate with Unhas and are taught directly by practitioners who are experts in their field. The final assignment is in the form of research, which produces a thesis for a specific field of study according to interest.
Career Prospects
The graduates of the Extraction Metallurgical Technology Study Program have the opportunity to work in the positions of Process Engineer, Raw Material Supervisor, Production Operator, Quality Control Staff, Metallurgical Technician, Smelter Technician, Refractory Technician, and Plant Metallurgist Technician.
