About the Program
Food Agribusiness is one of the study programs at the Hasanuddin University Vocational Studies Faculty, which combines agricultural and economic sciences. The Food Agribusiness Study Program will examine human efforts in developing natural resources and the environment so that they are more efficient in meeting life's needs and can produce and market products to make a profit.
Strengths
- Be able to internalize entrepreneurial values and character based on ethics in carrying out the profession as an agri-food activist to improve the quality of social life and the environment.
- Be able to apply logical, critical, and innovative thinking in applying science and technology in food crop cultivation as well as in establishing, managing, and developing business units based on food commodities.
- Be able to pioneer and develop food-commodity-based business units.
Areas of Specialization
The Food Agribusiness Study Program specialization consists of:
- food agribusiness management
- agricultural policy and extension
- entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector.
Learning Process
- Learning is carried out directly in the classroom or online, through field practice at partner locations, practice in the laboratory, and internships in government and private agencies.
- The final assignment takes the form of a project, prototype, and scientific work.
Career Prospects
Food agribusiness graduates can take part in the world of work as food agribusiness managers, agricultural consultants, government agencies, entrepreneurs, and entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector.
