Cahya Aulia Ramdhani A.R., S.I.Kom, a staff member of the International Office (IO), Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) and a master student in Communication Science, participated in an academic exchange program at The University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan, from 11 May to 4 June 2026. The program was funded by the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) as part of their commitment to enhancing academic capacity and international exposure.
During the exchange program, Cahya actively engaged in various academic activities at The University of Jordan, including attending lectures alongside local students, participating in academic discussions, and completing assessments and examinations in accordance with the program requirements. The experience provided valuable opportunities to broaden academic perspectives and gain firsthand exposure to the educational environment of one of Jordan’s leading universities.
In addition to participating in the academic exchange program, Cahya also carried out a benchmarking visit in his capacity as a staff member of UNHAS IO. The benchmarking activity was conducted through an official meeting with the International Affairs Unit of The University of Jordan to strengthen institutional relations and explore opportunities for future international collaboration between the two universities.
During the meeting, both parties discussed several potential areas of cooperation, particularly in research collaboration and summer programs. The discussion highlighted opportunities for joint initiatives that align with UNHAS’s International Cultural Program (ICP). Representatives from The University of Jordan expressed strong interest in these collaborative opportunities and welcomed the possibility of developing future programs together.
The meeting also included discussions on institutional cooperation through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The University of Jordan indicated their intention to prepare and share a draft of MoU as an initial step toward formalizing and strengthening cooperation between the two institutions.
Overall, the benchmarking visit demonstrated promising prospects for enhancing the institutional relationship between UNHAS and The University of Jordan. Future collaboration is expected to encompass research activities, international academic programs, cultural exchange initiatives, and other strategic partnerships that will benefit the academic communities of both universities.
Through participation in the academic exchange program and the successful implementation of this international benchmarking activity, UNHAS continues to demonstrate its commitment to expanding its global network, strengthening internationalization efforts, and fostering meaningful partnerships with leading universities around the world.
