Unhas Rector Prof. Dr. Dwia Aries Tina Pulubuhu, M.A. Monday (29/8) received 45 newly accepted International Class students of Unhas, in the Office of Studies and Educational Development Institution (LKPP) Unhas, Tamalanrea Campus.
The Admission of the new students of two faculties (Economics & Business and Public Health) was marked with the symbolic assignation of the student names to the Economics and Business Dean, Prof. Dr. Gagaring Pagalung, S.E., M.S. Ak and the Public Health Dean, Dr. drg. Baharuddin Talib, M.Kes., Sp.Pros, also inaugurated through the symbolic placement of the alma mater jackets. A phase witnessed by the Vice Rector I, Prof. Dr. Junaidi, and the Vice Rector IV, Prof. dr. Budu, Sp.M.(K), Ph.dm, as well as the Vice Deans of both faculties.
Unhas Rector Dwia Aries Tina Pulubuhu, M.A. stated, that the enrolled students of the International class, are the pioneers of the International class development for both faculties, in the upcoming future.
“You are all students of excellence, distinct with other Unhas students,” stated proudly by Dwia Aries Tina Pulubuhu during her remarks in English.
Dwia stated them being of excellence, as those enrolled have gone through tight phases of selection, that comprises of an academic test, English test (TOEFL), and interview. Therefore, the lecturers of the students would be demanded to deliver the lectures in English.
“All of you have the opportunity to continue your studies in the partnering Universities of Unhas, including Griffith University in Australia, along with many other overseas higher education institutions,” stated Dwia.
Head of the Academic Administration Bureau, Ernawati, S.E., M.M., elaborated that out of the 44 International class students, 31 are enrolled in the Faculty of Economics and Business (Management 17, Accounting 14), while 14 others admitted in the Faculty of Public Health. Those that registered in the classes were 82 individuals, though 49 eventually attended the tests.
