The Faculty of Dentistry of Hasanuddin University (FKG Unhas) continues to strive to build international network. By this time, they explore collaboration with two universities from South Korea, namely: Seoul National University School of Dentistry, Seoul, and Dankook University School of Dentistry, Cheonan.
This step is part of the efforts to meet the strategy to reach World Class University. Previously, FKG Unhas has acquired the recognition of AUN-QA standardization which is one of the stimuli for the faculty’s internationalization.
The Dean of FKG Unhas, drg. Muhammad Ruslin, M.Kes, Ph.D., Sp.BM(K) visited the two Faculties of Dentistry in South Korea on April 22nd-25th, 2019. In this visit, he was warmly welcomed by each Dean of Seoul University School of Dentistry Prof. Jung-Suk Han, DDS., Ph.D. and Dean of Dankook University School of Dentistry Prof. Won-Jeong Han, DDS., Ph.D.
Besides visiting the educational facilities of the two universities, the Dean accompanied by Prof. Dr. drg. Barunawaty, M.Kes., Sp.RKG(K) also visited the Dental Hospitals of the two universities. Prof. Barunawaty is a professor in the Departement of Dentomaxilofascal Radiology of FKG Unhas.
In a meeting with the two deans in South Korea, they expressed a similar interest in developing and realizing more concrete collaboration with FKG Unhas.
"Hopefully the signing of MoU can be done immediately so that the implementation of the Education, research collaboration, and staff and student exchange program can be realized soon," said the Dean of FKG Unhas.
The two professors from the two universities also declared their willingness to attend the event “The 2nd International Conference on Biophysical Technology in Dentistry (ICoBTD 2019)” as the main speaker on August 24th -25th in Makassar. (*)
