Four undergraduate study programs of Universitas Hasanuddin received recognition from the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA). The four programs are Political Science, Public Administration Science, Arabic Literature, and Aquatic Resources Management study program. The AUN-QA affirmed that the four study programs had met the requirements of a quality standard developed by AUN-QA.
Communication Director of Universitas Hasanuddin, Ir. Suharman Hamzah, Ph.D., explained (Friday, 7/5) that The AUN-QA had previously visited the four study programs in February 2021. However, due to the pandemic, the visitation was carried out virtually.
“This is exciting news we received in this holy month of Ramadhan, which as well has made Unhas have 34 undergraduate study programs that meet the international standards. At least, up to now, there have been approximately 51% of all Unhas undergraduate study programs accredited internationally,” said Suharman.
The fulfilment of AUN-QA standards by the undergraduate study program is a continuous effort to improve the quality of the study program and the competence of the graduates as following the Directorate General of Higher Education program, which places international accreditation as one of the Main Performance Indicators.
The Political Science and Public Administration Study Program are under the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP). The Arabic Literature Study Program belongs to the Faculty of Humanities. The Aquatic Resources Management Study Program is under the auspices of the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries Sciences.
