Hasanuddin University recorded 1,664 graduates in the April period, consisting of 619 men (37.20%) and 1,045 women (62.80%). This achievement reflects the institution’s sustained academic performance in maintaining graduate productivity across all levels of education.
The graduation ceremony was held in two sessions, beginning on Wednesday (1 April) and Thursday (2 April) at Baruga A.P. Pettarani, Unhas Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar.
Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. drg. Muhammad Ruslin, M.Kes., Ph.D., Sp.BM(K), delivered the academic report, along with various strategic efforts and achievements in academic and student affairs.
Unhas is increasingly intensifying its monitoring of students’ study completion so that the number of students finishing on time keeps rising. The monitoring also aims to reduce the number of students who do not finish their studies on time. This is closely tied to the Educational Efficiency Rate (AEE), one of the elements of the Key Performance Indicators (IKU) of Impactful Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Diktisaintek Berdampak), which are mandatory for all universities.
“Efforts to accelerate study completion, through strengthening the monitoring of academic progress, setting measurable study milestones, optimizing the role of academic advisors and thesis/dissertation supervisors, and providing early academic intervention, directly contribute to improving the efficiency of the education process,” Prof. Ruslin explained.
Unhas has set a series of strategic measures focused on strengthening academic governance, controlling study duration, and improving the effectiveness of education delivery at all levels of education.
Integrating AEE achievement into the performance and accountability system of faculty/school and study program leaders will ensure that improving education efficiency becomes a shared commitment across all work units, to accelerate improvement in institutional performance.
Entering 2026, Unhas students have recorded a number of achievements. As of the end of March 2026, 76 medals involving 146 students have been won.
These achievements span various levels, from international, national, and regional to local, with placements ranging from first place/gold medal to honorable mention.
