The coordination meeting was attended by the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, the Director of Student Affairs, the Vice Deans for Academic and Student Affairs, the heads of subdirectorates within the Directorate of Student Affairs, and the heads of faculty student affairs subdivisions.

The event served as a strategic forum for strengthening cross-unit coordination in supporting the development of Hasanuddin University students who are outstanding, of strong character, and competitive at both the national and global levels.

In remarks at the meeting, Unhas Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. Drg. Muhammad Ruslin, M.Kes., Ph.D., SpBM(K) expressed appreciation to all leaders and student affairs managers for Hasanuddin University’s achievements, which continue to show a positive trend. “The achievements Hasanuddin University has reached today are the result of solid teamwork, from university and faculty leaders to student affairs managers. This collaboration is what we must keep maintaining and strengthening,” Prof. Ruslin said.

Prof. Ruslin further stressed the importance of maintaining the work rhythm and spirit of all student affairs managers so that they remain consistent and sustained. In Prof. Ruslin’s view, a maintained rhythm and a spirit that keeps burning will have a real impact on students while strengthening Hasanuddin University’s image in the future.

On the occasion, the Vice Rector also paid special attention to the management of scholarship programs, asking that data on scholarship recipients be rechecked carefully to ensure that aid is truly received by students who need it.

Prof. Ruslin also stressed that students who meet the criteria and need financial support can be assisted through the use of Hasanuddin University’s endowment fund. In addition, Prof. Ruslin encouraged expanding scholarship coverage to 32 percent of all Unhas students.

Besides scholarships, Prof. Ruslin also encouraged strengthening student internationalization by increasing outbound and inbound student activities. The programs are considered strategic for broadening students’ global experience, strengthening international networks, and improving the competitiveness of Hasanuddin University graduates.

The meeting also presented an evaluation of the implementation of student affairs programs throughout 2025. The evaluation covered program achievements, the challenges faced, and a number of improvement notes as a basis for strengthening future policy and program implementation.

The schedule of student affairs activities and programs to be carried out from January to June 2026 was also presented so that all units have an aligned and coordinated understanding.

The importance of being vigilant about students’ participation in competitions that are not credible was also explained, with faculties encouraged to verify the organizers and substance of such events.
