Hasanuddin University (Unhas) has accepted 3,489 new student candidates through the 2026 National Merit-Based Admission (SNBP) track. The results, announced on 31 March 2026, drew high interest, with a total of 33,222 applicants choosing Unhas in the national selection process.

The figures show a competitive level of selectivity, with only 10.5% of Unhas SNBP applicants ultimately accepted.

The SNBP track accommodates about 30 percent of the total new student admission quota. The remaining quota is allocated through the National Test-Based Admission (SNBT) at 50 percent and the Independent Admission track (Jalur Mandiri) at 20 percent.

Unhas Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. drg. Muhammad Ruslin, M.Kes., Ph.D,. Sp.BM(K) explained that the SNBP selection process is based on academic and non-academic indicators, including the average semester report card score and achievements proven through supporting certificates uploaded by applicants. The combination of these two aspects is the basis for comprehensively determining who passes.

Unhas also urged all candidates who have been declared to have passed through the SNBP track to promptly complete their registration documents. The registration and single tuition fee (UKT) verification process is scheduled from 2 April to 27 April 2026 through the official website regpmb.unhas.ac.id.

“This re-registration and UKT verification is very important. We hope all candidates who have passed will pay attention to the schedule and complete all the requirements set,” stressed Prof. Ruslin.

For candidates who did not succeed through the SNBP track, Prof. Ruslin said that opportunities remain through other selection tracks with better preparation.

“Not being accepted, or not yet being accepted, in SNBP is not the end of the process of getting the best place to continue your studies. There are still many other paths that can be taken,” Prof. Ruslin concluded. (/*aya)
