During the six-week program, participants were posted in research laboratories under the guidance of faculty members and researchers from the Faculty of Science at KMUTT. Participants were actively involved in various research activities, including scientific discussions, experimental design, conducting laboratory research, data analysis, and the preparation and presentation of research results. This experience provided a comprehensive understanding of international research culture, the application of systematic research methodologies, and standards of scientific integrity within the global academic environment.

In addition to the laboratory research, participants attended academic seminars, laboratory meetings, and scientific events organized by the Faculty of Science. These activities served as a platform to learn about the latest developments in science, enhance critical thinking, and strengthen scientific communication skills through discussions with faculty members, researchers, and students from various countries. The program also allowed participants to develop their ability to work in multicultural teams. Throughout the program, participants interacted and collaborated with international students, improving their English communication skills, adapting to a diverse academic environment and building professional networks to support future research collaborations.

As part of the program, participants presented their internship research results to academic advisors, researchers, and fellow participants. Through these presentation sessions, participants received valuable scientific feedback to improve the quality of their research and hone their ability to systematically present findings to an international audience. In addition to academic activities, participants took part in cultural activities and visits organized by KMUTT to introduce Thai culture to international participants. These activities provided a cross-cultural experience that enriched global perspectives and strengthened bonds among participants from various countries. The program concluded with a Closing Ceremony and the presentation of Certificates of Completion as a token of appreciation for the participants’ involvement throughout the internship.

Through this experience, participants not only enhanced their technical competencies in research but also developed skills in scientific communication, international collaboration, leadership, and adaptability within a global academic environment. This initiative supports SDG 4: Quality Education by providing high-quality, hands-on international research training and experiential learning. It also supports SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being by advancing research competencies in pharmaceutical sciences and microbiology to address global health issues, as well as SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by fostering cross-border institutional and academic collaboration between Indonesia and Thailand.
