A guest lecture titled “Dental Materials and Technology” was successfully held by the Faculty of Dentistry at Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) on Tuesday, 21 April 2026. The session took place from 2:00 to 3:30 PM JST (1:00 to 2:30 PM WITA) and featured Prof. Emilio Satoshi Hara, DDS., Ph.D., from Okayama University, Japan, as the keynote speaker.
The lecture aimed to provide insights into the latest developments in dental materials and emerging technologies in dentistry. Prof. Hara shared his expertise on innovative materials used in modern dental treatments, as well as advancements that improve clinical outcomes and patient care.
The event was attended by undergraduate students of the Faculty of Dentistry along with several faculty members. Participants actively engaged in the session, showing enthusiasm through questions and discussions following the presentation.
According to the organizers, this guest lecture was part of an academic initiative to broaden students’ knowledge and expose them to global perspectives in dental science. By inviting an international expert, the Faculty of Dentistry hopes to strengthen academic collaboration and enhance the quality of dental education.
