The Department of Electrical and Informatics Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University (FT-Unhas), held a guest lecture with the theme “Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, and IoT in Real Applications.” Prof. Farookh Husain, Head of Discipline, Software Engineering, School of Computer Science, University of Technology, Sydney, Australia, delivered the lecture at the event, which took place on Wednesday, February 11, 2022, at 9 a.m. CIT in the CSA Lecture Theater 1 Room, Faculty of Engineering, Gowa.
The event was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Amil Ahmad Ilham, S.T., M.IT. In his remarks, he expressed his gratitude for the speakers’ willingness to share information and experiences at Unhas. The dean hopes that this activity will give students new ideas when they are doing research on modern technology and how it is used in everyday life.
“Thank you for the knowledge and information that will be shared with the students. In general, FT-Unhas continues to provide a learning space for students to develop their knowledge, including by presenting guest lectures like today’s event. We also hope that this event will lead to a stronger collaboration between FT-Unhas and the University of Technology of Sydney,” Ahmad added.
On this occasion, Prof. Farookh generally gave an overview of the application in the field of carbon credit as an opportunity and challenge in life.
According to him, this is essential to be discussed together considering the increasingly widespread carbon credit, which is part of the process of applying machines, cloud computing, and IoT to human lives. The activity, which was led by Muh. Anshar, Ph.D., a lecturer in electrical engineering at Unhas, ran smoothly until 12.00 CIT. The participants actively gave questions and responses to the speakers.
