On Thursday, 25 June 2026, the Faculty of Nursing (FKep), Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) successfully conducted the Online Global Health Program 2026 (OGHP) in collaboration with the Faculty of Nursing, Yokohama City University (YCU), Japan. This year program conducted with the theme “Utilization of devices and the advancement of AI in nursing”. The event was officially opened with welcoming remarks by Prof. Dr. Elly Lilianty Sjattar, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, UNHAS, followed by Prof. Nao Tamai from YCU, who introduced the faculty and welcomed participants from both institutions.

The program featured interactive student presentations from 20 students of Faculty of Nursing UNHAS, and 12 students from YCU Japan. All participants got a chance to introduce the culture, tourism, nursing education, and healthcare systems of both countries, as well as virtual campus tours of both universities. Participants also engaged in small-group discussions, providing opportunities to exchange experiences, broaden intercultural understanding, and build international friendships. In addition, participants attended two special mini lectures delivered by distinguished YCU faculty members including Saldy Ph.D presented “Artificial Intelligence in Wound Care Nursing: Current Applications and Future Directions.” and Prof. Hideto Muta also delivered a lecture on “Care Innovation Technologies Based on Nursing Engineering.”
The program concluded with closing remarks by Syahrul Said Ph.D (Vice Dean of Academic and Students, Faculty of Nursing, UNHAS) and Prof. Tomoko Akase (YCU), followed by the presentation of certificates of attendance and a group photo session. The Online Global Health Program reflects the shared commitment of UNHAS and YCU to advancing internationalization in higher education and fostering global competence among future healthcare professionals
