Hasanuddin University (Unhas) is continuing its Roadshow for the 2026 National New Student Admission Selection (SNPMB) in various regencies and cities across South Sulawesi. During visits to Maros Regency and Pangkep Regency on Monday (19 January), the event was warmly received by high school students.
The outreach aims to educate students on choosing a study program wisely, while introducing Hasanuddin University’s flagship programs and study opportunities.
In Maros Regency, SMAN 1 Maros (State Senior High School 1 Maros) was designated as host, bringing together representatives of high schools across the regency. The same took place in Pangkep Regency, with SMAN 11 Pangkep (State Senior High School 11 Pangkep) as host.
Three speakers took part in the outreach in Maros and Pangkep:
- Nurul Ichsani, M.I.Kom, (Head of the New Student Admissions Subdirectorate, Unhas), who presented on the SNPMB 2026 selection pathways and quotas, registration guidelines, and strategies for choosing a study program.
- Dr. Nurfaida, S.P., M.Si. (Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Unhas Faculty of Agriculture), who presented an introduction to the campus and the study programs available at Unhas.
- Nurjannah Abdullah, S.IP., M.A. (Secretary of the Department of International Relations), who presented the Leadership Talent Development Program pathway for student council (OSIS) chairs, as well as the Achievement in Sports, Arts, and Science (POSK) pathway and KIP-Kuliah.
The students showed high enthusiasm by asking a variety of questions, particularly about readiness for the National Merit-Based Selection (SNBP). Most questions concerned managing and uploading achievement certificates.
Students were urged to cluster their achievement certificates by field, whether sports, arts, or science, at the local, regency, and national levels, so that the selection process can run optimally.
Schools and students are expected to pay attention to all key dates for SNPMB 2026, especially registration deadlines, so that each stage of the selection can be followed according to procedure.
“Participants must pay attention to the important dates, including the registration deadline, so that no stage of the selection is missed,” Nurul said.
Unhas reiterated its appeal to participants and parents/guardians not to trust any parties or individuals who promise admission to Unhas in exchange for payment. Any form of fraud will be dealt with firmly in accordance with applicable regulations.
“Do not believe anyone who promises to help arrange for you to pass at Unhas. The process at Unhas is accountable,” Nurul said.
Official and valid information on SNPMB 2026 can only be accessed through the official SNPMB and Hasanuddin University websites, managed by the New Student Admissions Subdirectorate, Directorate of Education, Academic and Student Affairs, Hasanuddin University. (*/dhs)
