A representative of the Promotion and Culture Division of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland Monica Firlus visited Hasanuddin University in order to promote and enhance cooperation in the fields of culture and education.
The meeting was held in the Rector’s Meeting Room, 8th floor. Unhas Rectorate Building, Tamalanrea Campus, at 14.00 WITA, on Tuesday (10/10).
This visit is an important step towards establishing more synergy between the two countries in terms of higher education and cultural exchange.
The visit included a meeting with the Vice Chancellor for Partnership, Business Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, Prof. Dr. Eng Adi Maulana, S.T., M.Phil. of Hasanuddin University, and Head of Hasanuddin University Library, Dr. Fierenziana G. Junus, M.Hum. The Vice Rector for Partnership, Business Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, Prof. Dr. Eng Adi Maulana, S.T., M.Phil., welcomed the plan to initiate scholarships for Hasanuddin University students. He hopes that this will bring more opportunities for international education for students and strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
Furthermore, Prof. Adi expressed Unhas’ seriousness about expanding cooperation with Poland. He admits that strong relations between nations are the key to achieving progress in various fields, especially education and culture.
In addition to discussing scholarships, the delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Poland also discussed the possibility of partnership cooperation between Unhas and educational institutions in Poland. This collaboration is expected to expand access for students and lecturers to improve academic and research quality.
Furthermore, the delegation from Poland also talked about the potential for cultural exchanges between students and culturists from both countries. The cultural exchange is expected to enrich the knowledge, experience, and cross-cultural tolerance between Hasanuddin University students and the Polish community.
On the same occasion, the head of Hasanuddin University Library also attended the meeting. They discussed the possibility of cooperation in the areas of libraries, literature exchange, and access to scientific resources between the two institutions.
This visit has given new hope for Hasanuddin University students to develop their academic potential at the international level. This is in line with the vision of Hasanuddin University to become a center of excellence for globally oriented education.
Through this collaboration, it is expected that a strong synergy will be established between Hasanuddin University and Poland to encourage the advancement of education, innovation, and cultural exchange in the future. (*/sg)
