MAKASSAR – The Hasanuddin University (Unhas) Career Expo 2026 brings together 19 companies and institutions from various sectors, from banking, manufacturing, construction, and services to education. The event, held on Wednesday and Thursday, 15–16 July 2026, at JK Arenatorium, Unhas Tamalanrea Campus, is designed to broaden participants’ access to job opportunities, competency development, and further study. To that end, the Expo features three activities: a Career Fair, a Scholarship Exhibition, and a Career Seminar.
Unhas Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Muhammad Ruslin, explained that industry today needs human resources who can make a real contribution to a company’s progress.
“The presence of 19 industry partners at the Unhas Career Expo 2026 is an excellent opportunity for Unhas students and alumni to show the best of what they have. These companies come hoping to find the best graduates, ready to contribute from day one,” said Prof. Ruslin.
English proficiency remains one of the competencies that university graduates need to keep strengthening. Unhas continues to develop various foreign-language competency programs, especially in English, to equip students to be more competitive nationally and globally.
Generation Z needs to be equipped with resilience as they enter the workforce. The ability to adapt to change, face challenges, and keep learning is an important foundation for building a sustainable professional career.
Prof. Ruslin urged all participants to use the Unhas Career Expo as a space to build professional networks and get to know industry needs more closely. Prof. Ruslin also expressed appreciation to all the companies that took part in the event.
“Make the best of this opportunity. Build communication with the companies, show the competencies you have, and make the Career Expo the first step in building a professional career. On behalf of Hasanuddin University, I thank all 19 companies and partners who have collaborated with us and trusted Unhas as a partner in preparing graduates ready to meet the challenges of the working world,” Prof. Ruslin concluded.
Through the Unhas Career Expo 2026, Hasanuddin University continues to strengthen its role as a university that not only produces academically outstanding graduates but also builds a collaborative ecosystem between campus and industry. This synergy is expected to improve graduates’ readiness for a changing working world while supporting the supply of competent, adaptive, and competitive human resources.
