Hasanuddin University (Unhas) held the 2026 Performance Contract Signing, led directly by Unhas Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc., in the Senate Meeting Room, 2nd Floor of the Unhas Rectorate Building, on Monday (26 January).
The event was also attended and accompanied by the Vice Rector for Planning, Development, and Finance, Prof. Subehan, S.Si., M.Pharm.Sc., Ph.D., Apt., and the University Secretary, Prof. Ir. Sumbangan Baja, M.Phil., Ph.D.
In introductory remarks, Prof. Subehan explained that the drafting and setting of the 2026 performance contract was aligned with ministry policy, which was then passed down to the university level and distributed to all work units.
“The university’s own performance indicators are drawn from the Strategic Plan (Renstra) and adjusted to targets that are realistic and achievable through 2026,” Prof. Subehan explained.
Prof. Subehan also noted that performance targets have been adjusted this year, particularly for indicators calculated on the basis of the university’s potential, such as the number of lecturers and students. This serves as the main reference in setting each unit’s performance targets.
Meanwhile, in the address, Unhas Rector Prof. JJ stressed the importance of faculty leaders paying attention to educational efficiency, especially in identifying students who tend to take a long time to complete their studies.
“Deans, ladies and gentlemen, need to personally pay attention to and identify students who are at risk of delayed study, because this can affect the achievement of the educational efficiency indicator,” the Rector said.
The Rector also stressed the need to evaluate performance achievements that have not yet been met and urged every faculty to draw up appropriate strategies so that targets can be achieved optimally.
Prof. JJ further called on all faculties, units, institutes, and hospitals within Hasanuddin University to continue improving the quality and quantity of performance through cross-unit collaboration and synergy, in order to achieve the shared targets set in the 2026 performance contract. (*/dhs)
