Use of Videotron

Requests to show material on the Universitas Hasanuddin videotron are accepted online only.

The videotron is an electronic information display used to publicize, announce and promote academic and non-academic activities, seminars and similar events. It stands at the main entrance of the Unhas Tamalanrea campus and can be used by members of the Unhas academic community as well as by external parties, under the terms below.

Terms of use

1. Users may be members of the Unhas academic community (work units, committees and student organizations at Universitas Hasanuddin) or external parties (companies, organizations and individuals).
2. Material may be either an image or a video (choose one). Only finished, ready-to-display material that meets the terms below is accepted, not raw files.
3. Image specifications:
   • 1920 × 960 pixels, in .png or .jpeg/.jpg format (HD).
   • Material with more than one image (layer) must be made into a slideshow and is treated as a video file.
4. Video specifications:
   • 1920 × 960 pixels, in .mpeg2, .mp4 or .mov format, with a minimum resolution of 720p (HD).
   • Maximum duration: 1 minute.
5. Material must not contain partisan political content, content that plays on ethnic, religious, racial or inter-group differences (SARA) or pornography, and must not conflict with applicable laws and regulations.
6. Material must include the Unhas logo. Download the official Unhas logo.
7. Sponsor logos may not be included. Including sponsor logos is subject to a fee at the established rates.
8. Only national- or international-scale activities of the university, its work units and student organizations may be publicized.
9. Videos may not be congratulatory messages or similar greetings.
10. Users bear full responsibility for the content of their material, including copyright in the photos, videos and text used.
11. Images and videos are displayed only after review and approval by the Rector’s Secretariat Office.
12. Material that has been displayed becomes the property of the Rector’s Secretariat Office.

Requirements

1. Material must be received no later than three working days before the display date (H-3), during working hours: Monday to Friday, 08.00–16.00, excluding national holidays and collective leave days (cuti bersama).
2. Material received outside this schedule cannot be displayed.

How to apply

1. Fill in the Unhas videotron request form below.
2. In the same form, upload a request letter addressed to the Rector’s Secretariat Office.
3. Upload your material to Google Drive first, then enter its link in the form.

The form asks for your institution or work unit, the name and position of the person in charge, an email address and contact number, the type of material (image or video), the display date and the event date, a short description, the link to your material, and the request letter as a PDF file.
