Hasanuddin University (Unhas) invites senior high school (SMA) students, especially those currently in Grade 12, to attend Unhas Open Day (UOD) 2026. The event will run for two days, Saturday and Sunday, 7 and 8 February 2026, at the JK Arenatorium Sports Hall, starting at 08:00 WITA (Central Indonesia Time).
UOD 2026 is an occasion to introduce the campus more closely to prospective students and the wider public.
Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. drg. Muhammad Ruslin, M.Kes., Ph.D., Sp.BM(K), explained that UOD 2026 is an important part of Unhas’s commitment to providing higher education information services that are open, accurate, and easily accessible to prospective students.
“We designed this annual event as a space for direct communication between the campus and prospective students. Through it, participants can get complete information on the education system, study program options, and the many opportunities for self-development and scholarships available at Unhas,” said Prof Ruslin.
UOD 2026 is designed as a space for two-way interaction. Prospective students do not only receive information but are also given the chance to talk directly with the Unhas academic community, from lecturers and faculty administrators to students.
UOD 2026 will feature a range of agenda items, including presentations on faculties and study programs, academic consultation services, question-and-answer sessions on new student admission pathways, and scholarship information.
In addition, exploring the campus is a special attraction. Through the campus tour and campus loop, participants will be taken to see for themselves the various flagship Unhas facilities that support academic and student activities.
Prof Ruslin stressed that Unhas Open Day also reflects the campus’s commitment to building information openness and responsive public service, in line with efforts to improve the quality of higher education.
“We want to ensure every prospective student gets equal and transparent access to information. UOD is a form of Unhas’s commitment to guiding young people as they prepare their academic and professional futures,” Prof Ruslin added.
The event is open to the public and free of charge for prospective new students. As of Wednesday afternoon, the number of registrants had reached about 5,000 participants from various regions.
