The Dean of the Faculty of Forestry at Hasanuddin University (Unhas), Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU., received a visit from the Head of the Research Center for Applied Zoology at the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Dr. rer. nat. Evy Ayu Arida, M.Sc., and a delegation to initiate cooperation with wildlife and silk researchers. The meeting began at 09:00 WITA (Central Indonesia Time) in the office of the Dean of the Unhas Faculty of Forestry on Thursday (12 October).
Attending the meeting were the Dean of the Unhas Faculty of Forestry (Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU.); the Head of the BRIN Research Center for Applied Zoology (Dr. rer. nat. Evy Ayu Arida, M.Sc.) and the delegation; the Unhas Director of Education, who is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Forestry (Risma Illa Maulany, S.Hut., M.NatRestSt., Ph.D.); the Head of the Unhas Research and Development Center for Natural Heritage and Biodiversity, who is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Forestry (Dr. Ir. Siti Halimah Larekeng, S.P., M.P.); and the Head of the Forestry Study Program at the Unhas Faculty of Forestry (Dr. Ir. Sitti Nuraeni, M.P.).
Opening the meeting, the Head of the BRIN Research Center for Applied Zoology, Dr. rer. nat. Evy Ayu Arida, M.Sc., said that the purpose of the visit was to initiate cooperation with wildlife and silk researchers at the Unhas Faculty of Forestry.
“Thank you to the Dean of the Unhas Faculty of Forestry for so kindly receiving our visit. The purpose of this visit is to initiate cooperation with wildlife and silk researchers at the Unhas Faculty of Forestry,” explained Evy Ayu Arida.
Dr. Evy Ayu Arida went on to describe opportunities for research assistance and further-study scholarships that Unhas students, particularly those at the Faculty of Forestry, can access through the BRIN talent management program. This also provides one avenue for the Unhas Faculty of Forestry and BRIN to work together more intensively.
In remarks on the same occasion, the Dean of the Unhas Faculty of Forestry, Dr. Ir. A. Mujetahid M., S.Hut., M.P., IPU., thanked the Head of the BRIN Research Center for Applied Zoology and the delegation for the visit.
“We are always ready to cooperate with BRIN, and researchers at the Faculty of Forestry are ready to collaborate with BRIN researchers. I hope this cooperation initiative can be followed up soon,” said A. Mujetahid.
The cooperation initiative will be followed up with the drafting of a cooperation agreement and terms of reference (KAK) for the cooperation.
