Tunisian Ambassador to Indonesia, Mourad Bahassen, Tuesday (24/5) delivered a public lecture at the University of Hasanuddin with the topic of '' Democratic Transition in Tunisia and Economic Challenges Fluctuation within a Regional Context ''.
Accompanied by the Director of International Cooperation Unhas, Dr. Ir. M. Iqbal Djawad, M.Sc., Mourad Bahassen also introduced the country is at a crossroads between Europe to Africa and between North Africa and the Middle East.
'' The challenges that Tunisia faced is because it is close to Libya and Yemen, both of which are experiencing prolonged conflict, '' said Mourad Bahassen.
The main problem Tunisia, the ambassador said, is related to the younger generation of Tunisia who are mostly unemployed. This condition may attract these young people n the countries into militants (Mujahideen) that are involved in the conflict around Tunisia. (*).
